• Data Files - Data Files are an occasional series of miscellaneous items of broad gauge interest. They include rail and paint specifications, accident reports, and any other items of interest that don't fit in to any of the other regular series of publications.
• Data Sheets - Data Sheets are an A4 page on a particular item of rolling stock. They include a dimensioned line drawing, a description with details of building and withdrawal dates, numbers and any other known information.
• Diary - Details of future events organised by the BGS and other organisations.

• Exhibitions - The BGS organise an exhibition of Broad Gauge models and prototype information every two years. For many years this has been held in Newbury, Berkshire, and non members are very welcome.

• Millennium Project - Members of the Broad Gauge Society are collating information on the hundreds of broad gauge buildings and structures which have survived into the newmillennium, despite the broad gauge era ending over a hundred years earlier. It is hoped that this will encourage recording the details of these works for future historians and modellers, but it is also providing an opportunity to identify any which are need of conservation or listing.

• Research Sources - Researchers into the broad gauge era are at a disadvantage compared to those interested in more modern times - photography was in its infancy; no picture postcards; few contemporary books; no surviving first hand memories and much of the infrastructure has been changed or swept away. Because of this it is necessary to carry out researches from a variety of record offices and libraries. This list is not exhaustive but should be a good start for your searches.
